Happy Friday!

Friday is finally here and it is event better…IT’S A LONG WEEKEND(and maybe midterm break for a few people)! There is lots going on this long weekend so check out our top tips. Have a great long weekend full of adventure.

Top QT weekend tips/things to do this weekend!

  1. OnTheQT discovered a new gem this week in Cork. The Glen Resource & Sports Centre is a true hidden gem in the heart of Cork. Zorbing, Zip wire, high ropes, soccer, leap of faith, team games and much more. We couldnt believe that something like this existed just on our doorstep. We are looking forward to filming with them again on Saturday. Such a great gem! Get a group of friends together and check it out this long bank holiday weekend.
  2. The Spirits of Meath Halloween Festival runs until November 3rd. County Meath is bring you Ireland’s biggest and most electrifying Halloween Festival 2013. From Haunted Hills to Eerie Graveyards; Tour of Shadows to Friendly Witches & Spooks and Spells; Thriller Nights to Terrifying Terror Houses. The festival promised to delight & fright equally. Sounds like a great event for a little Halloween treat full of magic!
  3. What are you weekend plans? TV night, pub, walks, cinema…why not try something a little different. Check out the Drive in Cinema in Carrigtwohill called ‘Movie Junction’. Pick a movie of your choice and bring a bunch of friends to the drive in cinema.  Try something different from your typical cinema trip.
  4. Ballyhoura Horse Trails in Kilfinane, Limerick has lots of treks this weekend. Why not go on a trail with them and enjoy the countryside. Check out our video here and see what beautiful scenery you can expect on the trek.
  5. Enjoy the outdoors with your kids!  We love Open Farms, especially Grenagh Open Farm in Cork. This Irish farm feels exactly the way a farm should be with only Irish animals, tractors and much more. Great way to spend the day with the little QTs! We are filming out with them this weekend and early next week for some halloween/midterm specials.
  6. This bank holiday weekend, the Footfalls Wicklow Walking Festival is taking place. Lots of walks for all levels, from challenging to easy walks with experienced leaders. Sounds like a great festival.
  7. The Lough Gur Storytelling Festival takes place this weekend. A weekend celebration of the art of storytelling with traditional music, drama and poetry for adults and kids.
  8. This weekend is a weekend OnTheQT LOVE…the Jazz weekend in Cork. Now if you have no plans this weekend, get on down to Cork and check out all the locations all over the city with jazz concerts taking places all day and night. Trust us…it is a weekend you wont want to miss.

OnTheQT is 7 months up and running on Saturday and we are happy to be out filming on the day in The Glen Resource and Sports Centre and also in Grenagh Open Farm. We are going to celebrate then with a night of Jazz at the Jazz Festival. HAPPY LONG WEEKEND EVERYBODY. What are you long weekend plans?
