Back by popular demand, guests can join painting legend Don Conroy for a painting masterclass and workshop at The Lodge at Ashford Castle from 11 – 13 October 2021. A sell-out in 2020, the full day workshop offers guests the opportunity to learn how to paint or improve upon existing skills in a beautiful setting overlooking Lough Corrib in Co Mayo.

Don, who was a regular guest on RTE’s The Den for over twenty years, delighted the nation once again during lockdown with the timely launch of his Draw with Don YouTube channel.  A working artist, writer, television presenter, naturalist and environmentalist, Don will bring a rich tapestry of creativity, skill and fun to guests attending this special break.

Guests attending the full day workshop will be inspired by the stunning views across Lough Corrib that can be enjoyed from the hotel, together with the expansive estate woodlands and gardens and changing colours of the season.  All guests will be provided with the requisite materials for creating their masterpieces, which will be a lasting memory of their break away this year.

For guests who wish to build on their getaway, there is a myriad of activities to enjoy on the estate including horse-riding, fishing, zip-lining, cycling and Ireland’s first school of falconry.
