As you may have noticed from our social media platforms yesterday, the OnTheQT crew took off on an adventure for the day to the World Travel Market in London.

With a 6.40am flight from Cork airport it was an extremely early start, however we were so excited to hop on the plane we didn’t mind!

It was freezing when we landed in Standsted airport! We stopped for a quick cup of coffee, a fresh pastry and we were ready to experience WTM 2016! Lucky enough to have press passes, so we skipped the que and headed straight in to get lost in a world full of wanderlust!  

The market was simply gigantic. Rather overwhelming at first, we got our bearings and figured out exactly where we wanted to go! The entire place was divided country- by -country with representation from every country in the entire world! It was so much fun walking around past different stands.. as it honestly felt like walking around the world! The stands were simply spectacular with each country’s culture, and beauty clearly on display!

There were even some amazing dancing performances, and local food samples which of course we were only delighted with! My destination bucket list most certainly quadrupled inspired by some of the exotic destinations at the market!

A day jam packed with meetings, interesting seminars, and making new friends we most certainly cannot wait to share our very exciting future plans with you! We made our way back to the airport delighted with what a successful day we had, and eventually collapsed into bed for a well earned nights sleep!
