Day 6 – First day of the Trip – 7th July
The alarm went off at 6AM. I had my last shower for 2 weeks, a quick breakfast and was ready to go! We got some photos before we left. We are on the road for 7.15AM. Heading North and slightly East to Meekatharra which is 800km and our target today. Just North of Perth we hit the country. July is the only month that one can make the trip we are about to undertake. (more…)

Day 5 – The Day Before The Trip – 6th July
One day to go! Up at 8.30am having had a poor nights sleep. Awake during the night for several hours due to jet lag or excitement about the trip. I cannot believe all I have learned so far. Today is food preparation day. (more…)

Day 4 – Preparations 5th July
Woke at 9.30 this morning after a great nights sleep. Had breakfast with Rob and Jill and Rob took me through an outline of the trip and showed me photos of past trips. I was blown away as to what I was about to see over the next 2 weeks. (more…)

Day 3: Arriving in Perth! 4th July
Arrived in Singapore at 2.15pm in the afternoon local time(7 hour difference in time). As I had a 4 hour overlay, I met some friends from Ardmore who now live in Singapore. My friend Bob called me at arrivals and took me by taxi to his apartment complex, which was only 10 minutes away. (more…)
QT blogger, Pat Lynch spent some time in Australia a few years ago but decided to try something a little different. Pat went on an adventure of a lifetime in the Australian Bush.
