Wonderful Wynwood

While exploring Miami last month, a few locals recommended that I visit an area called Wynwood. I was told that it is a very unique and trendy neighbourhood, located in Downtown Miami. When I arrived, it was already getting dark, however that did not take from the amazing outdoor art throughout the whole neighbourhood.  As I walked around Wynwood, I experienced a completely new culture and incredible street art. There is plenty to do, see, eat and drink in Wynwood so if you are in Florida or in the Miami area, I would definitely recommend putting a few hours aside to enjoy the lively atmosphere Wynwood has to offer. It was without a doubt one of my favourite memories from my trip to Miami! (more…)

Ambledown Cottage

As many of you know, I paid a visit recently to Monaghan. Once again, I am proving that around every corner in Ireland lies a unique gem waiting to be discovered. I spent some time in Glaslough village – A village full of friendly locals and unique gems around every corner. It’s not very often a place captures your heart fully and I honestly think if it does, it’s a mixture of the people and the location. Here at Glaslough Village the location and people were just wonderful!  A local told me about the wonderful Ambledown Cottage for a bite to eat so I decided to check it out. (more…)

As we drove along with Wild Atlantic Way we had so much fun stopping off at multiple destinations along the way, places we would never even have thought of before – true hidden gems! One of my favourite pit stops in Clare has got to be the Doolin Caves! Situated just outside the quaint town of Doolin, this educational centre is most definitely worth adding to your bucket list!  (more…)

Collins Seaweed Baths!

The best thing about travelling the Wild Atlantic Way is that you get to try out things you’d never usually do! I have always wanted to try out having a seaweed bath, and so couldn’t wait to visit Collins Seaweed Bath on Ladies Strand just outside Ballybunnion!
Set in the most idyllic of locations, literally right on the beach it is easy to see why this wonderfully run establishment has stood the test f time, they’ve been around over 85 years and are now run by the 4th generation of family members!
The wrack is gathered from the beach, rinsed in cold water and voila. Nothing at all  is added. Heated seawater is simply added to the baths for you to sit back, relax and said goodbye to your aches and pains!

The baths are an excellent way to ease aches and pains and boost your general wellbeing as the hot water stimulates the release of concentrated iodine from the seaweed. This acts as a natural antiseptic, whilst its oils moisturise your skin leaving a tingling freshness!

The establishment is efficiently run, with reasonable prices, friendly staff and a very relaxing atmosphere!
