I spent some time recently in Lanzarote and the hiking trail from Puerto del Carmen old town to Puerto Calero is a wonderful way to spend a day. The walk starts in Puerto del Carmen and takes about 50 minutes. There are several places to rest on the walk and to enjoy the scenery. The walk is a lovely cliff walk with great scenery along the way. (more…)
We spent a week in Lanzarote recently and in this blog post we are sharing some of our favourite things to do in the area. We would highly recommend renting a car for a day or two and exploring what the island has to offer. Below are a list of our some of the unique experiences we came across while exploring the island. Lovers of fresh food, marvellous meat, tasty treats and succulent sweets… we were only delighted when we stumbled upon La Boqueria food market right in the heart of Barcelona! La Boqueira is a large public market in the Ciutat Vella district of Barcelona and one of the city’s foremost tourist landmarks. As it is very accessible by public transport, free to enter, and open everyday it is a definite must see!
Hey guys! As many of you know from our social media channels the past week or so, I am just back from the sunny paradise island of Lanzarote. It was an amazing week! I am back to reality now and busy editing all the videos and blog posts to share with you about the trip. I am always on the go and spend a lot of time travelling so I really just wanted a place where I could relax for a few days and ‘try’ to switch off a little. Easier said then done! I love the idea of sitting by the pool and relaxing but after a few hours I get itchy feet and want to go off exploring with my camera. I booked the trip with the help from our wonderful friends at Heffernan’s Travel in Cork. (more…)
We couldn’t believe that it was our last day of our trip already. We had packed so much into the short time we had been in the city but yet there was so much more to do in this city of never ending fun. Seeing as we had explored the city by foot, by Segway, by underground and by cable car… we decided to choose a new method of transport and hopped on a boat at the port to capture the city from the water. It was so relaxing to hear the waves crash beneath us as we drifted away from the port out along the harbour. It was also pretty interesting to see the city from an entirely different angle. (more…)
We are delighted to share our new blog post with our next vlog from our Barcelona series. In the video, we had booked ourselves a time slot of 9am to visit the wonderful Park Guell and so it was another early start on day 3 of our Spanish adventure. We were quickly becoming professionals at using the underground, in fact we barely needed to look at the map anymore! After arriving at the correct station, we spotted a little bakery with fresh breads and cakes. (more…)
We are delighted to share our next vlog from our Barcelona trip. Episode 2 where we explore the Sagrada Familia, the Barri Gòtic and uncover some of Barcelonas history on a Segway tour. There’s far too much to see in Barcelona to sleep in so we got up early to make the most of our day. Our first stop was La Sagrada Familia which is a large Roman Catholic church designed by catalan architect Gaudi. (more…)
