The Botanical Gardens, Vancouver

While exploring Vancouver recently, everybody recommended a visit to the Botanical Gardens to us so we decided to go explore it for ourselves. The botanical gardens have two locations, the main botanical gardens and also the memorial gardens. Both are within a few minutes of each other and both capture a different style and beauty. The VanDusen Botanical Garden’s has 22 hectares of elegant landscapes with plant species representing ecosystems ranging from the Himalayas to the Mediterranean, from Louisiana swamps to the Pacific Northwest. While exploring the beautiful Vancouver city recently, we just had to go check out Stanley Park. The wonderland built within the busy city of Vancouver. It is the largest and most beloved urban park located in the heart of the city with unbelievable views of the cities skyline in the distance. A very popular spot for cycling and roller blading. Dr Sun Yat Zen Chinese Gardens

As you all know, we recently went on a big trip to Vancouver. One of the gems we stumbled upon in the heart of the city was the Chinese Garden – Dr. Sun Yat-Zen Chinese Garden. What an oasis in the middle of the busy city. A place full of colour, relaxation and tranquility. It takes you on a journey back in time to 15th Century China and as you enter the garden, you enter another world. It is a classical Chinese Garden, the first of its kind outside of China. (more…)

Whistler

Whistler was definitely on our bucket list during our trip to Canada. It has been said that it is the adventure capital of the world so it was a must to pay a visit and try some of the activities on offer. Whistler is north of Vancouver and home to the world of ski enthusiasts.  With more than 8,000 acres over 2 mountains, Whistler and Blackcomb, it’s the largest ski area in North America. It co-hosted the 2010 Winter Olympics. (more…)

Grouse Mountain

As you know, we have spent some time in Vancouver recently and we have so many blogs and vlogs to share with you. We just had such an amazing time… we have gather lots and lots of gems from our trips. One of the gems was at the top peak in Vancouver… Grouse Mountain. (VLOG coming soon!). We arrived at the bottom of the mountain and got a cable car to the top(you can also hike it which takes an hour or two). Stunning views all around as we went up the mountain and the views from the top were just spectacular. (more…)

Sea to Sky Gondola

Sometimes you just need to take a leap of faith and try something a little different. That is exactly what we did when we decided to go on the Sea To Sky Gondola in Squamish. The drive from Vancouver to Squamish is just breathtaking. A drive of a lifetime along the Sea to Sky Highway. It’s a short drive from Vancouver and one of the most scenic routes in the world. Be prepared for a unbelievable experience driving on a mountain highway – spectacular.  (more…)
