Nightmare Realm, Cork

Would you enjoy a haunting escapade? Does an eerie thrill of adrenaline sound appealing? Do you crave mysterious adventure? Do you wish to push the boundaries of your sanity?  If so…. you need to take a visit to “The Nightmare Realm” in Cork immediately… or else… who knows what the revenge will be!

Open since 2009, The Nightmare Realm is a spine chilling scare house attraction, highly recommended for the brave, fearsome and valiant people of Cork.

As soon as you climb the first flight of stairs into the dark, grotesque prison themed corridors… there is no escape. Every corner you turn there is a hair-raising surprise and a truly hideous creature awaiting your arrival.  There is an echoing resonance of the prisoners distressing cries for help and other disturbing sounds throughout the narrow winding corridors. There is nowhere to run, nowhere to hide and no one to hear your screams for help. Not once did I ever feel safe.

The experience lasts over three floors, each with as many unprecedented horrifying surprises as the next.  Tensions rose, and the volume of my screeches increased ten fold as the sinister creatures followed me closely until I figured out how to move on to the next haunting dungeon.

The attention to detail on every single speckle of the scare house is astounding. The characters are so graphic and convincing, one would forgive you for becoming encapsulated into their nightmarish world and forgetting that it all fictitious….but then again is it?

The entire experience lasts approximately 25 minutes; depending of course, on how quickly your feet can carry you past the aggravated demons or how slow you are to navigate around the maze like pitch-black corridors.

I genuinely felt relieved to be finished the experience, my voice is still a little sore from screaming…  and I slept with one eye open after… but without a doubt, it is well worth the trip!

Of all the things you choose in life… you don’t get to choose your nightmares… You don’t pick them, they pick you… Let them be born at the nightmare realm, Cork….
