A real food haven, Joup is tucked away at the end of the Ballinlough Rd., just outside Cork city. Although unassuming from the outside, this hidden gem has a lot more to offer than you would expect behind its colourful and welcoming front door! For a snug café, tiny in size, I was pleasantly surprised at the vast amount of selection I had to choose from for my lunch!

 

 

 

 

The cosy vintage décor, and vases of freshly picked flowers sprinkled around the place gives the café a very likeable character – this is perfectly matched by the helpful and cheerful staff working there, for whom no special request was a problem! Making a conscious effort to source their ingredients locally, and using mainly organic produce, the family run business has really got everything just right!

Serving sandwiches, soups, lasagnes, quiches daily… and a mouth watering range of chocolate treats, homemade cakes, cupcakes for dessert, you really will be spoilt for choice at Joup!

There is limited seating available inside, and some tables outside to enjoy your lunch while soaking up the sunshine. Joup is also available for delivery ,  any catering needs you may have, AND  offers a takeaway service, so if  you’re having a busy day at work,  simply call in your order and it will be ready for you by the time you get there! There is simply no excuse not to discover this tasty hidden gem for yourself!
